And God said to Moses, Why do you cry to me?
It’s a pretty crazy statement for the God who 11 chapters earlier said, “I have heard the cry.”
Moses had reached the Red Sea and there was clearly no way across. Pharaoh was closing in and hope was wearing thin. So he cried [...]
So God calls us to remember a story about a people whose cry he heard and responded by sending a baby. Moses was created by God, for the purpose of leading his people out of slavery.
And yet, when he grew up and realized the next steps in his journey, he gave God a list [...]
Exodus 3 is powerful because it introduces us to the concept that God always hears the cry.
